Clocks, Watches/H miller clock stops ticking

Question
Hello, I recently acquired a Howard Miller grandfather clock (from 1987) from my Aunt. It was running well for a little while after moving it here, but now it stops specifically at 29 seconds. I can get it ticking again, but it will always stop every minute at exactly the 29 second mark. If I wind it back up a little bit it will run until it gets back to where the weight is at that specific level again. When moving, the weights were taken off and the clock was wound tightly around a few towels to keep it from moving around.  Can you give me any ideas as to what may be wrong and how to fix it? The clock was serviced (just regular maintenance) a little over a year ago.

Answer
you say: When moving, the weights were taken off and the clock was wound tightly around a few towels to keep it from moving around.

Explain how you wrap a grandfather clock around a towel????

Is this a chain driven or cable and pulley mechanism?
