Question
The subject clock stops running when I level it on the wall. It only runs when tilted to the left. I think I have to take the face and hands off to get to the mechanism in order to level it in the case. How do I get the hour hand off without breaking it and how do I level it once I get it apart?  Thank you in advance for your assistance. Carl

Answer
the minute hand is held on by a nut or by atapered pin and washer. the hour hand is just friction fit --pull and twist it off the shaft.

dial off - straighten the case- and bend the wire the pendulum bob hangs on to left or right to get the tick even - trial and error by sound only.
