Question
This watch was handed down from the family in working condition.  Its a 23J 14K Lady Elgin.  Inside back cover has written "Queens W.C. Co"  also stamped 14k.  Is this something of value?  Can you tell me anything about this watch.

Answer
Larry,

23 jewels is a high grade movement.  If properly maintained, it will keep accurate time, even by today's standards.

14k means that it is 14 karat gold.  With gold prices what they are today, that alone gives it some value.

The Queens Watch Case Co. is who made the case.

If you can, send me a picture of the watch.

KInd regards,

Melvin
