Clocks, Watches/Missing Tubular Bell

Question
Mr. Perkins, I have just bought a Jacques Tall Case clock made around 1915. It is solid walnut and stands 92" tall. It has a moon dial and is a 5 tubular bell model. Unfortunately, the shortest bell is missing. It sat in a general store in northern Missouri for 90 years. I'm having the case restored and the movement cleaned. I'll pick it up next week when I can send measurements of the other 4 bells. They are chrome plated. Could you let me know if there is a place I can get a replacement bell, or buy a complete new set? I would very much appreciate it! Thanks. Steve

Answer
To assure proper tuning I would urge you to acquire a full set tubular chimes.  You might find it a problem to find a set of chrome or nickle plated tubes.  I suggest you contact one or all of the following clock materials houses.  (1)  Merritt's Antiques @ www.merrits.com    (2)  TimeSavers @ www.timesavers.com.  (3)  Ronell Clocks @ www.ronellclock.com    Either of these firms would serve you well.  Regards WJP
