Clocks, Watches/Wrist Watch Question

Question
If you pull the pin on a watch to save battery life, will it damage the time piece?

Answer
Ms. Crystal,

It can.

There is lubricant in the movement that will start to coagulate after time.  It will take a long time for that to happen though.

If you want to be safe, you should keep the watch in running order at all times.

Kind regards,

Melvin
