Question
bill, did the kitchen clock that you idenified for me have a kink in the original leader? the susp. spring is almost in line with the minute arbor, and seems to have some interferience, making the pendelum wobble, could you help me out on this? thanks chuck

Answer
From your description it sounds like you have a damaged pendulum spring.  You need to replace the pendulum spring and its leader.  I suggest you goto <timesavers.com> to look at TimeSvers on-line catalog.  From that you can see what the part looks like.  (a piece of straight wire about 10 inches long with a spring riviited to one end.)  Unfortunately you cannot but a single unit from TimeSavers, you must by a bundle of them.  The important thing is to know what your looking for looks like so that you can go hunting.  Any clock repair facility should be able to provide you with one.  Once you get one you will have to cut the leader to the exact length of the damaged one now in your clock and form the hook.  I hope this helps you.  Regards WJP
