Question
My clock was running fine, but it just stopped working. I wound up both sides
and started the pendulum again and it will keep the time for about 10-15
minutes and it quits. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do to make it
work properly of fix the problem? Do you think I over wound it and broke it?

Answer
the beat is off --the tick is not even side to side. Listen to the tick as you tilt the clock left and right to find the right balance. Not knowing what mechanism is in a Kassel I cannot suggest a better way to adjust it properly other than propping up one side of the case. The rear of the brass plate of the mechanism itself will identify the maker.Korean? No you did not overwind it.
