Question
i reacently bought a big old wooden cuboard and found a wooden box in there i had no idea of what it was or how to get into it but when i did i found it to be a almost 50/60 yr old vibroghaph i believe them to be used for mesuring vibration and for fixing old or vintage watches witch is why im talking to you im aware that they can be v usefull and am looking to sell it and can not find any information on it and woundered if you could tell me what they realy do and how much it may be worth. please please help me lol

Answer
Ms. Vicky,

It is used to time a watch.

When a watchmaker is done cleaning a watch, he needs that machine to make sure it is accurate.  The only other way is to have  an accurate time keeper and keep adjusting the watch in question each 24 hour period.  That takes a long time.

I don't know what it is worth.  Check ebay.

Kind regards,

Melvin
