Question
I have a Howard Miller grandfather movement that was given to me.  I would like to get it working.  I have no weights, chain, or pendulum.  Where can I find the specs for the missing items.  The number on the back is UW32045B.  I would like to know how long the pendelum should be, and the size and length chain to buy.  I also need a suspension spring screw.

Answer
Keith, Factory Urgos parts are hard to come by but here are your specs:
Your pendulum drop is 94cm. This is the distance from the top of the suspension spring to the center of gravity on the pendulum (meaning where the pendulum will balance laying flat on a point). This is usually about 1/3 down from the top of the bob. The total pendulum length should be about 35".
Your left and center weights should be 4.5 pounds, the right weight should be 7.5 pounds.
The chain will be 31-1/4" long. Urgos chains are available, I recall that you can use Hermle chain as the links are of similar size and diameter.
I don't see that the thumb screw is sold as a new replacement part. You can use a taper pin. I probably have a used thumb screw for the suspension spring and can supply you with the chains if you would like. I don't know who would have a pendulum or weights.
