Question
One of the weights on our Cuckoo Clock is no longer dropping as the clock runs?

Answer
Each of the weights has a running function on a cuckoo clock. If the pendulum is swinging, the weight associated with that will be dropping.
The fact that one of your weights is not dripping tells me that one side of your clock is not working. If you have a two weight clock, the one not dropping is your strike. This is the side that makes the clock do the cuckoo sound and strike the gong every 1/2 hour.
If your clock is a 3 weight type, the one not dropping could be for powering a music box.
Cuckoo clocks are much more complicated than most people might imagine as they are novelty clocks. There are lots of lifting wires and other mechanical things that cause the clock to start and stop the cuckoo sound or music box. Sometimes it is a simple repair or adjustment. Your problem could vary from bending the right wire or lever to a complete rebuild of the movement.
I hope this information helps you.
