Question
My cherished clock from 1980, chimes hourly, as it should, but at 50 after the hour instead of at the top of the hour. There is no way that I can see to reset it. I changed the battery recently and that's when it started. Please help or I have to turn it off, as I rely on those chimes! Thank you much!

Answer
I'm not familiar with your specific movement. I'm guessing it's battery powered. If so; I have had success by holding the setter on the back of the movement and turning the hand forward 10 minutes.
Sometimes the minute hand has a bushing in it. If that's the case; take the minute hand off, grab the bushing with a pair of pliers and move the hand to the desired position. This is generally the way we adjust the minute hand in a mechanical chiming clock.
