Question
We bought recently bought a mantle clock whilst on a weekend away. The pendulum was supplied but not attached for transportation, unfortunately we did not see how it should be fitted.
Would you be able to advise how the pendulum should be attached? We have tried attaching the pendulum but have found the ticking stops after about 15 seconds.
Or would you know where we could get a diagram from?
Many thanks
F C Burclaff

Answer
If you will send me a digital picture of your clock movement backplate and the pendulum I will in turn write you instructions, complete with arrows showing you how to do this procedure.  I could do it without the pictures but I doubt you would understand the names and functions I would be describing.  As the Chinese have said, "one picture is worth a thousand words".  Please send picture to my e-mail address using Enfield/Smith as subject.  Regards WJP
