Clocks, Watches/Hermle Clock

Question
I have a Hermle Viking Mantle clock stamped "82" similiar to others that have submitted questions you.  Believe it is stamped 340-020, with the hammers on the bottom for the chimes.  It chimes every 15 minutes and on the hour and has three wind ups.  My problem is the middle wind up appears to be wound too tight and now the hour and minute hands do not move?  I can manually move them and the chimes still work, in fact they are right on.  How can I fix this?  Is there a manual somewhere out there?  I am pretty handy so I don't mind taking it apart if needed.  Thanks

Answer
Hermle published a service manual I believe covers your situation.  I suggest your local library might have a copy or at least access to a copy.  The book is entitled, "THE HERMLE SERVICE MANUAL", and was compliled and edited by Roy A Hovey.  Hope this helps you, regards WJP
