Question
Dear Mr.Saunders I recently order a Hermle flagship movement 1171-853 over the internet...it took the vendor longer than promised to ship , so he said he was upgrading the movement to a HERMLE W 2071-850BS to make my waiting worth.
My question is , am I getting a better movement/value?.
Thank you very much , I will look forward for your kind answer.

Answer
I think so but I can't find the 1171-853 listed any where - I am concerned about the interchangeability with dimensions actually --the quality is all the same and I think the 2071 is a polished plate movement that cost more. the 850-853 is a handshaft length designation - but since I can't find it - I don't know - But Monday call Butterworth's at 563-263-6759- in Iowa and they will answer any question you have.
