Question

Waterbury clock
I recently purchased a Waterbury Roundtop Clock. It measures 12 1/2 x 6. I have never seen one this small and have been unable to identify it but my question is I need to know where to purchase the parts needed for the striking side of the movement or get a new one. It would also be helpful if I could ID the clock so I know what it is supposed to look like.

Answer
I was unable to enhance the picture you provided.  It would appear that the clock is one of the "SULTAN" series.  My inability to enhance and dissect the picture prohibits further analysis.  Not being able to identify the clock nor what movement it contains precludes any discussion of parts or sources thereof.  The best you could hope for is that you can find a parts movement somewhere.  Ebay would probably be your best source.  If you wish to pursue this matter further with me i would need more information.  Clear pictures are needed.  On the clock movements backplate you will find information stamped thereon.  Along with picture, copy down and send me all that data.  In the pictures you might send include a ruler in each photo.  If you can, draw arrows to pinpoint missing parts.  If you are so inclined send data to my e-mail address, <flashpowder@hotmail.com>  use Waterbury clock as subject.  Regards WJP
