Question
Dear Sir, I have a small mantel "Comitti of London" clock, would probably be less than 10 to 15 yrs old. The clock face has roman numerals and is about 3" in diameter, & was purchased in Australia.
Have checked the battery, so that is OK.
Basically it is not working. My husband can do some watch &/or clock repairs, but the front appears to be sealed.
Have taken it to a watchmaker he says the same.  But would like another opinion.  If we could take the front off, my husband may be able to fix it.  Do you know if the front can be removed at all without damaging the clock, as it seems rather unusual that this cannot be done.
Would value your opinion.  Thanks & regards, Christine

Answer
I am sorry, as stated in my resumee, I have no knowledge of non-mechanical clocks.  I will say however, whatever has been put together can be taken apart.  I suggest the front is press fit into place.  I can't imagine a watchmaker not being able to figure out how to take care of the problem, even if it be a plastic fit-up, which i think it might be.  Sorry again WJP
