Question
we have a Sligh grandfather clock model 0972-3-AN, bought new around 1986. The clock has been moved via moving truck 3 times (ohio to Ohio to Michigan) but we were careful with it. problem is that it just stops running on its own, it runs for 10-30 minutes and then just stops. we start it again and it runs for the same amount of time then stops. all the chimes and everything work ok. any type of adjustment to the pendulum possible on this clock?  we don't have a manual.

Answer
Your clock has most likely fallen out of beat.  Could you copy down and send me all the information stamped upon your clock movement's backplate.  This will identify the exact movement installed in your clock.  With that in hand I could most likely guide you to possible solutions.  Please respond as an update to this, your original inquirey.  This will provide essential continuity.  Regards WJP
