Question
I have a broken cable on the right side .. I removed the broken one by looping it
back around the drum. Then I used the crank to turn the drum to see the key
hole. I installed the new cable but the drum will not turn. Can you help?

Answer
I supect the new cable is not settled into it pocket, threby protruding outwards and prohibiting the drum from turning.  Remove the cable and start all over again.  You might have to do this a number of time befor the cable snaps into the proper position.  This is a job I would reccomend having done by a professional clock repair person.  Observe as the work is done to that you can see the little tricks of the trade.  Regards WJP
