Question
QUESTION: My Howard Miller pendulum leader came off during the moving of my grandfather clock, can i put it back myself?

ANSWER: probably- if you broke the suspension spring that the upper part of the leader attaches to, it might get tricky though.

the suspension spring looks like this:

the leaders look like one of these:

pick which leader you have and get back to me.

QUESTION: ok it is the second leader, and the spring looks fine, also a little black hard plastic cover i think goes on the pendulum suspension post came off as well

Answer
the silver round horizontal shaft (L shaped) coming out of the back of the mechanism  goes in the keyhole shaped slot in the left end in the photo- left end hooks on the bottom of the suspension spring.the keyhole goes closest to the mechanism and the under support arm on the leader goes to the rear of the case.

You can hook the top on and then lining up the keyhole with the horizontal arm gently bend the L shaped foot up and to the rear till it slips in the keyhole slot. hang the pendulum back on
