I have a westminster chime regulator clock and the chime is wrong do to daylight saving time. At one clock this afternoon it did not ring. it is suppose to ring from 6 in morning to nine at night. can you help me. thank you Misty

Hi Misty,

The most likely cause of this problem is that the a.m. and p.m. is reversed due to resetting. Try turning the minute hand forward 12 hours and see if the clock then chimes during the hours when it is supposed to.

Because I don't know if this clock is antique or modern, or mechanical or battery, I can't give you specific instructions on the best way to reset it. The safest way is to turn the minute hand forward, stopping at each chime point to let the clock chime before turning ahead to the next chime point. Because this is a slow process, you might prefer to stop the clock for 12 hours, then restart it. If it is a mechanical clock with a pendulum, just stop the pendulum. If it is a battery clock, remove the batteries.
