QUESTION: Hi
I bought a phinney walker alarm clock off ebay and found that it only works when laying face down. Do you know why this is? Any ideas on how to get it working standing upright? Thanks

Answer
depends on what you paid for the clock, and why. WalMart has cheaper and more accurate alarm clocks made in China. Get local estimates and you decide. People differ in their value systems- me, I would never have bought it in the first place and would not use it even if it worked perfectly.
