Question
QUESTION: I bought my clock from a garage sale, went home & leveled it, placed the weights & started it(according to original paperwork) but only runs about 5 minutes. Did I break something when moving it? Or am I missing a step to get it working properly?

ANSWER: Daneker is the name of a jewelry chain.  Whether or not they are still in business, I do not know.  They purchased and sold a great many items upon which they bestowed their name.  The best way to determine who the actual maker is would be to expose the clock movements backplate.  Most often the makers name will be displayed there.  Without knowing who made the clock I cannot help you.  Sorry WJP

QUESTION: It shows to be made by the Million-Rutherford company. Does this help?

Answer
I cannot find a listing for Million-Rutherford Company.  I suspect that is a jobber from whom Daneaker purchased the movement.  We still do not who made the movement.  You indicate you have original paperwork.  Look carefully therein about anything having to do with putting the clock in beat.  I suspect the clock is out of beat.  In other words as you cause the pendulum to swing you hear an uneven tick-tock.  To be in beat it must have an even tick-tick sound.  The original set up instructions should include how to make this setting.  If perchance the instruction do not cover the subject, and we don't know what movement is concerned, is for you to send a picture of the back of the movement.  I could use that to diagram what you must do.  Send any picture to my e-mail <flashpowder@hotmail.com>  use Daneker GF as subject.  Regards WJP
