Question
QUESTION: Dear Sir, I was given my grandmothers' 8 day mantel clock w/ cathedral gong. There are two wind-up mechanisms which are accessible on the clock face. Is there a source for a replacement key? It also appears that there was a crystal, or 'lens' covering the clock face. Is there any chance of locating a replacement, aftermarket or otherwise? I remember the sound of this clock while growing up and would love to hear it again. Thank you, Bob Paulino

ANSWER: keys at any clock shop or here:http://www.timesavers.com/catalogmain2.asp?ProductID=15985%2C14075&submit1=Searc

and glass if it is convex - diameters by 1/16ths of an inch

QUESTION: Thanks for your quick reply. It appears that some type of circumferential frame held the glass to the clock? Are there either any sources for these, or dimensions to fabricate one? I believe the model I have is an Ingraham 'Monarch'.(from reviewing pics.) Thanks in advance for your expertise, Bob

]fitting a new bezel becomes a bit tricky- involves soldering in close quarters and is best left to one with experience- but parts that will work are available if not exact original replacements- see your clock shop
