Question
Our grandfather is not running. There are three weights and they are stuck all the way at the top. We have tried pulling them down but we are afraid we will damage. They are really stuck. Help. JoAnne

Answer
Your weights are jammed against the movement.  To relieve this condition you would have to gain access to the front of the movement so that you could trip the retaining clicks to allow the weights to drop a bit.  I beg of you to have this done by a trained technician.  This operation must be done with every thing under control.  The least that could happened is the weights would go crashing through the bottom, the motor could be injured to say nothing about the prospect of personal injury.  Potential for a lot of harm is unleashed in this procedure.  Regard WJP
