Clocks, Watches/Grandfather Clock stopping

Question
I had my grandfather clock's bushings replaced recently and it stops at exactly 20 minutes and 30 seconds after 12,3, 6 and 9.  The repairer has taken it back to his shop three times and brings it back saying it works fine there and he doesn't know what is wrong.  Any suggestions?

Answer
I gather you have paid to have the clock repaired.  The fact that the party doing the work doesn't know what is wrong is his problem.  If such a thing had occurred in my shop, I would see to it that the clock was properly repaired.  That failing I would return your money.
Obviously the clock has not been repaired properly. And yes I do have some ideas as to what the cause would be, however, it would not be appropriate for me to go into the matter further without your first giving your clock repair person reasonable opportunity at resolving the matter to your satisfaction.  I am sure he does not wish to let this matter go unresolved.  Regards WJP
