Question
What are the correct positions for each of the three weights on a grandfather
clock.

Answer
Hi Wendy,

This varies depending on the clock, the pendulum and whether it is antique or modern.

In general, the heaviest weight always goes on the right (as you look at the clock, and the lightest weight goes on the left. You may have 2 heavy weights and one light, 2 light weights and one heavy, or 3 weights all the same. Therefore, with the heaviest on the right and the lightest on the left, whatever is left goes on the center, and that weight may be either light or heavy.
