Clocks, Watches/Grandfatherclock

Question
The clock was recently repaired and is running good. I tried leaving the right weight down so it would not chime every 15 minutes. When I did that it wouldn't chime on the hour either.
I waited a week until the middle weight was down and then lifted all three to the top. The chimes rang O.K. for about two hours and then stopped. What do I do to get it to chime correctly again?

Answer
no connection with the winding that it stopped. Is the heaviest weight on the right? Pull down on the right weight a bit while moving the minute hand around to see if it will start chiming again. Old clock? might need service or overhaul and no connection with your winding it. You just get this clock?
