Question
I am looking for any information on a clock that my Father bought in Europe
when we was in high school in the early 60's.  The only marking I can find say
FHS 66  Germany  340-020.

Answer
All I can tell you is that the clock was made by Franz Hermle and Sonnes, using their 340-020 movement which is an eight day Westminster spring driven chime movement.  It is fitted with a balance escapement system.  The hammers are mounted on the bottom of this movement.  Demensions:100 X 100 mm with
               a distance between plates of
               32 mm.
