when its 4pm my clock chimes 6 on any hour. I have Ridgeway grandfather clock.

Please clarify.  Are you saying the clock stikes six time regardless of the hour, or, do you mean the clock strikes 6 at 4, 7 at 5, etc.  In otherwords two hours off regarless of the hour.  These are totaly seperate condition, requireing different solutions.  Please enlighten me.  Regards WJP
