Clocks, Watches/seth thomas chime

Question
Hello,  I have an old seth thomas grandmother clock that chimed and worked beautifully until we moved it .  Now it tells accurate time, but will not play the westminster tune on 1/4 and 1/2 hours nor will it chime the hour.
It does not have a silent selector switch, it has a string with a ring that seems to be hanging properly.
I looked in the back and the hammers are not out of line.  I lifted them up and they actually played the chime and struck 12 times.  The clock is now set back to correct time , but will not chime or strike the hour.  Can you help?  Thank you.

I do

Answer
Make sure that the heaviest weights is on the right side as you face the clock.

The chime is on the right side and it takes more power to run. If the chime doesn't run, the strike will not because the chime actuates the strike on the hour. Let me know if this does not solve your problem.
