Question
I have a Boluva mantle clock I obtained new about 30 years ago.  I think it would be better to have the movement replace than to have it repaired.  It is an 8-day key wound movement with chimes.  It has the number 340-020 on it.  Do you know if a replacement is available?

Answer
The 340-020 movement is availble through various clock materials supply houses.  If memory serves me they run about $100.  Suggested sources are, Merritt's Antiques <www,merritts.com>; TimeSavers <www.timesaver.com>;  Ronell Clocks <www.ronellclocks.com>  I believe your decision to replace is not only sound, it is also cost effective.  When ordering tell the respondent you wish to order a Herlme 340-020 movement.  Regards WJP
