Clocks, Watches/Clock sticks early

Question
Hermle 351-30A 43cm.  Bought Elgin solid cherry wood clock, missing pendulum, key, hands and nut.  Bought replacements and installed.  adjusted hammers and chime block.  Set clock into beat.  Clock runs great and strikes all the correct chimes.  Except it strikes about 10 minutes early or five minutes late as to which way one places the hour hand on the clock.  Is this something I can adjust?  Thanks, Dave

Answer
sure-- the center collet of the minute hand is loose. take the nut off- hold collet with a pair of pliers and reposition the hand so it points properly when replaced. If still slipping --whack it gently with a hammer on a flat steel surface to tighten the crimp of the collet to the hand.
