Question
I have an older Model 101 Emperor clock, which came in a kit.  It has worked great for 20 years and now will not keep running.  I suspect the suspension arm spring #4-51 and possibly SA-165 Suspension Arm Assembly.  Are these parts available?

Answer
Hi Robert,
I don't have a cross reference for Emperor parts numbers, but I suspect that you are talking about the suspension spring and the pendulum leader (the strip of steel or brass that connects the suspension spring to the pendulum). These parts are available from clock supply houses like Timesavers, Merritts Antiques or Empire Clock. You will need to know the make of the movement in your clock. This will be stamped on the back plate of the movement.
The problem may also be that the pendulum is out of beat. Please see my previous answers on that topic.
Bear in mind that 20 years is the expected lifespan of these movements, and your movement's bearings may be worn out, which would require replacing the movement with a new one.
