Bulova-Open
Dear Martin,
I have a Bulova 8 day mantel clock bought new 1978. On back of the works it
says:(on left side) "BULOVA WatchCo. Inc." (0n right) "TWO (2) JEWELS
UNADJUSTED W. GERMANY"  "7  73"

The hairspring is broken/missing and a repair shop was unable to locate a
new one. I would be very appreciative if you are able to sell/locate/direct me
to a new hairspring for this clock. It holds great sentimental value for me. I
got the clock in the US where I lived for many years. Presently I live in
southern Sweden. A reputable repair shop here locally will be able to fit it.

Hi Pelle,
    I have been unable to locate any source for your balance spring. Bulova has used movements from different manufacturers over the years, and I can't identify your movement, although it looks like it might be a Schatz manufacture.
    Your best possibility is to contact Bulova at http://bulova.com They also have a contact page at http://bulova.com/contact/contact.aspx , which has phone numbers for the Bulova Hotline in various countries.
