Clocks, Watches/Grandfather clock chimes at the wrong time

Question
I have a grandfather clock that keeps good time and chimes every 15 minutes.
However, instead of chiming on the hour, at 15 after, 30 after, and 45 after the
hour, it chimes at 7 min. after, 22 min. after, etc.  Can you give me any
suggestions?

Answer
I am having trouble with allexperts software, as a consequence you ended up with an answer intended for another answer seeker.  Here is your proper answer.
At the moment your clock starts to chime a quarter hour, stop the clock.  Remove the minute hand from its arbor.  Flip it over and you will see that the square hole that fits over the arbor is in the form of a pressed on bushing.  You will need to turn that bushing so that when you place the hand back on its arbor it points precisely to the quarter hour position that was correct for the time you stopped the clock.  You turn the busing by applying a pliers to it and turning it.  It might take you a few time to get it exactly right, but you can do it.  When properly positioned reinstall the hand, start the clock, reset it and you are done.  Regards WJP
