Clocks, Watches/Hanging pendulum

Question
QUESTION: Mr. Saunders,

I think I am missing a part for hanging a pendulum on my grandfather clock that was just given to me.  There is a cam adjuster type hanger, and a pendulum hook on the pendulum, but I can't seem to make them mate together.  Am I missing a pendulum hanging part?  I have a picture of the two pieces that won't connect if needed.  Thanks for your time.

Very respectfully,
Brett

QUESTION: Here is the photo.  Maybe the pendulum doesn't go with this clock?  I took out the cam adjuster for the photo.

Thanks,
Brett

you should have a two legged 1 inch long flexible suspension spring hanging from a post off the back plate of the mechanism. attached to this should be a leader that I think looks like this in the photo- the pin goes in the slot and the hooks hook on the suspension spring and the pendulum hooks in the H shaped slot at the bottom. 15897 appears in the current Timesavers.com catalog but is apparently no longer available.
