Question
The strikers for the Westminster chime are not working, they are worn down.  I've had it shimmed but it only lasted a week.
advise, what can I do other then replace the assembly.

I would suggest you replace the hammer faces or replace the hammers periode.  Both item are availble from clock materials houses.  Here are three taht sell to the public.  Merritt's Antiques located in Pa., TimeSavers located in Az., and Ronell Clocks located in Or.  All these frims have on line catalogs.  Regards WJP
