Clocks, Watches/Ridgeway Clock

Question
I recently inherited a Ridgeway clock. The information I have says Dial - QE, Model - 176, Movement - E, Finish - WMH1, Serial - 62978. The notes also state, "Its movement was imported from West Germany's Black Forest". It is a Westminster chime. I would like to know how old it is and the value. The chimes work, it keeps good time and it is good shape.

Answer
info stamped on the back brass plate of the mechanism may tell the year it was made. advise what you find there.

clock is worth more to you than anyone else - probably less than $1000 on the open market. The woodwork is more valuable than the clock mechanism.
