Clocks, Watches/Sieko Watches

Question
I am in the recycling business and acquired about 80 various Sieko Women and Men watches (from Sieko) to recycle. All of which are in excellent shape no boxes but still have blue protective plastic on the face and on the band of the watch. Some of the watches have sample stamped on them and some dont. they all have the time 10:10 ten minutes after 10 on all of them. I tried to set the time but the dial that sets the time doesnt move, or it just turns and nothing happens at all. Do you know if these watches are Real or Just for Show/advertising, and are they worth anything. Some prices on the back say in a range of $90-$500.. Do they have parts inside.....

Answer
Mike,

They very well might be real.  It is hard to know what is inside without opening them, though.

If the dial has "sample" written on it you would need to buy a new dial because no one would want to wear it like that.

Send me some pictures of the front and back and I will let you know what I can.

If there are not any movements, you might be able to get some of the more expensive ones fixed and then resell them.  For example, you might be able to get them in running order for 1/3 the retail and then sell them for 1/2 retail (or whatever you can get).

At any rate, email me some pictures and I will try to tell you wear you stand.

Kind regards,

Melvin
