Question
My clock is a black forest cuckoo with the two feeding birds.  The cuckoo is getting stuck in the out position and the weights are not falling evenly.  one seems to not be falling at all.  when I move the hand around it gets stuck on the 1/2 hour and it also cuckoos either two or three times when I do this. Any help would be appreciated.  I wind about every couple of days, have I pulled the weight too tight?  The clock is only about 3 years old. and has been working perfectly until the last couple of days.

Answer
" have I pulled the weight too tight?"  NO gravity does not change on a weight driven clock - up with the weight is up with the weight - you can't do anything else.

after you run the minute hand around till you hear a "click" at the hour or the half hour- try pulling down a little on the weight that is not falling to see if it clears it up. advise.........
