Question
melvin, i sent you a question on 3/10/08 got your reply, and have seen a book called how to disassemble, clean & reassemble a pocket watch by william j bilger,it,s a book they send you over the internet.do you know about this book? would it be worth my time & money? thanks chuck

Answer
Chuck,

No, I have not heard of this book.

That said, taking a watch apart and putting it back together again is not that difficult.  If it can show you with pictures how that is done, it will probably suffice.

Regarding cleaning, BE GENTLE. reread.  Got that? Don't force anything and move slowly and gently.  The parts are not car parts.  They are small and delicate.  If you follow that one rule, you will be fine.

Kind regards,

Melvin
