My mother has an antique seth thomas mantle clock with a masonic symbol, compass,ruler with a large G in the middle.  When she was getting her grandmother clock delivered, the clock proprietor offered her $500 for it.  thinking it was probably worth more, she turned it down.

Answer
Were I in a similar position I would have accepted the offer.  To get a good idea of current value go onto e-bay and see what similar clocks are selling for.  If I were living in an area with a strong Masonic presence I would be inclined to hold out for more.  Regards WJP
