Clocks, Watches/3" hinged bezel

hello,
i have desperately been trying to get a 3" hinged flat glass bezel as i am veneering a clock for my dads birthday and this is the first time a have attempted a clock so dont know where i can get one. please please help! kind regards

Hi Louise,
    There are some bezels available from clock supply houses like Timesavers, Merritts Antiques or Empire Clock. However, you will probably have difficulty in finding a hinged bezel that will fit your clock, because bezels were made in so many sizes and designs. The only other possibility that I know of is to find a "junk" clock similar to yours with a good bezel.
    I don't know if you have no bezel at all, or a damaged original bezel. Damaged bezels can often be repaired with skillful soldering, unless the brass has become brittle with age and is splitting in multiple places.
