Question
type of oil to lube the clock with?

Answer
Hi Dino,

It is important that you use clock oil ONLY to lubricate your movement. General purpose oil, instrument oil, sewing machine oil, etc. will be damaging to the clock. Clock oils are available from clock supply houses like Timesavers, Merritts Antiques or Empire Clock, all on the web. It is not necessary to use the most expensive of these oils (some can be extremely expensive). I would recommend any good quality synthetic clock oil.
