Clocks, Watches/Determination of Pendulium Size

Question
QUESTION: Hello, I have an English Clock that I am trying to determine age and most important, the Determination of the Pendulum Size since I have not one for this clock. The clock is marked on the front face "CAMERER CUSS & CO. 163 HIGH HOLBORN W.C.I.". On the rear plate is stamped "W278" and "37  6". Spaces are left intentionally between the 37 and 6 because they have the gap between them on the movement that way.

ANSWER: I have found a very small write-up about a firm "Camere Cus & co."  To varify this to be the right company would you look to see if a logo of Father Time is stamped upon the movements backplate.  If it is I will copy and send to you.  Please provide your e-mail address.  As to the pendulum I will need to think about that a bit, tell me is the clock a mantle type or a wall hanger.  When sending your e-mail provide me with a measurement from the center hole of the dial to the inside botton of the case.  Regards WJP

QUESTION: Father Time is not stamped upon the movements backplate but "Foreign" is stamped and two crossed arrows. This is mantle clock. Measurement from the center hole of the dial to the inside bottom of the case is 3". My email address is pm9414@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Answer
In absence of the father time logo the write-up I mentioned would not be relevant to your clock.  As to the pendulum, I suggest you take the clock to a clock repair person and have him/her select the correct one.  To make this determination one would have to actually see the clock to determine what hanging method is used, hook, eye, split, loop etc.  If you can make this diagnosis yourself, you could go on-line with Timesavers and scan their catalog for the appropriate item.  <timesavers.com>  search key word pendulum.  Follow up on this and you will get your pendulum.  Regards WJP
