Question I HAVE AN 18K GOLD TIFFANY TIME REPEATER WITH GOLD AND PLATINUM CHAIN. IT COULD BE CIRCA 1910-1920? IT HAS A MOVEMENT NUMBER 78620 MADE IN SWIZERLAND. COULD YOU TELL ME WHO THE MOVEMENT WAS MADE BY AND THE AGE. ANY INFO WOULD BR HELPFUL. THANKS DAN
Answer Dan,
Without an inspection, no one can tell you with absolute certainty who made the watch. It would definitely be from one of the high grade watch makers though.
Tiffany set up a factory in Switzerland in 1874. It lasted about 4 years, then operations were turned over to Patek Philippe.
That would be my guess as to who made the watch.
Other Swiss companies that have a relationship with Tiffany's are
Audemars, Piguet, IWC. All well known and well respected.
