Question
I have a mantle clock with a franz hemle movement. It is numbered 340-
020A and is listed as a 2 jewel unadjusted. The movement is a replacement of
the original movement in the clock but the clock had for many years run just
fine keeping excellent time. It is now losing about 3 minutes a week and I
would like to adjust it but when I look in the back there does not seem to be
any way to do so. How do I adjust the speed on the clock?

Answer
Little tricky but..here is photo (below)of the regulating unit on the top rear of your clock movement- hold the rim of #6 while moving any one of the 3 prongs on #5 as far as it will go to the right with a pencil. This will make it go as fast as it can without overhaul.
