Question
i have a mantel clock that once belonged to Gov. Conally of Texas. it was purchased from his estate after he died. it was mfg by FHS 151-080 21cm/148. it is broken. The tiny part that connects the pendelun to the pendelum arm is broken. any idea where i can get one? thanks

I think you are referring to the suspension spring. Suspension springs are available from clock supply houses like Timesavers, Merritts Antiques or Empire Clock.
You need to get the correct size suspension spring. The best way to do this is to order a printed catalog from a clock supply house. The illustrations of suspension springs are printed actual size, and you can place the broken spring over these pictures to select the correct one. Unfortunately, the website images of these springs are not actual size, due to differences in individual computer screen resolutions.
