QUESTION: I purchased the clock in April of 2007. It is made by Howard Miller, with three weights and three winders. The clock ran down, I re-set it, but got distracted by a phone call, and forgot to start the pendulum. Next time I went to set it, the chimes were incorrect.I can't figure out how to get the chimes and the time to coincide. Thanks, Mrs. Orsini
AnswerUnless the minute hand was removed - a one year old clock that was working properly has to be chiming properly on the quarter hours- only thing that could go wrong is the hour strike count might be off if someone moved the hour hand by mistake - just point it to agree with the clock's striking and set the time with the minute hand as usual--advise
