Clocks, Watches/operation of a Welch kitchen clock

Question
I have what I believe is a Welch gingerbread kitchen clock and need to know how to set it up to operate.  It came with a feather and shot glass.  Where exactly do I place these?

Answer
the shot glass was for some kerosene and the feather to brush some on the mechanism. The glass was left inside the case in the hope (mostly false) that the fumes from the evaporating kerosene would keep the clock lubricated.Clock oil is a good lubricant but kerosene is NOT.

So you can leave the feather and empty glass in the bottom of the case as a memento of earlier times, put them in a curio cabnet or in the recycling any of the three will be as helpful to the clock.

wind both key holes fully and hook the pendulum on the wire hook and give it a start side to side. advise if further questions arise.
